Film Forum Alabama Moving Image Association, Inc.
The Alabama Moving Image Association was created to inspire, encourage and support films and filmmaking in Alabama. This year, we celebrate our 11th year of hosting the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, which takes place September 25-27 in Birmingham's Downtown Theatre District.

July's Audio Salon will feature Jeremy and Chris Burns, professional location audio engineers, who will be showing off some of the hardware they use to capture sound and discussing their techniques to get A-list audio on a low budget. We'll also hear from Boutwell Studios about the post-production services they offer and the equipment they use, complete with examples of audio that they've cleaned up in-house.

sidewalk SIDEWRITE
The SideWrite competition is now open! SideWrite is a short screenplay competition for Alabama residents. The screenplays can be about anything and everything, as long as it's an original! The only limit is your imagination, as long as you can contain it in 15 pages. Multiple submissions are acceptable, and collaborations are welcome. It only costs $15 to enter ($10 to Sidewalk members), so get those creative juices flowing. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a copy of Final Draft!
